Dr Mireille Makary

Dr Mireille Makary is a Paediatrician who is passionate about a family and patient-centred approach to holistic healthcare for infants, children and young people. She enjoys journeying with and working alongside families, educators and allied health professionals acknowledging the best outcome for children will be achieved by working collaboratively with families. Mireille’s practicing philosophy is to maintain a family and patient-centred approach to children’s care and a “nothing about us without us approach”.

Mireille is a member of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) with an interest in developmental paediatrics. She graduated from the University of Otago and then completed her Paediatric training at Starship Children’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. Mireille undertook additional Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics fellowships at the Centre for Community Child Health at the Royal Children’s Hospital and has experience working in the Developmental/Behavioural, Learning difficulties, Unsettled Babies and General Medicine clinics at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Mireille is a member of the Australian Society for Developmental Paediatrics (ASDP).

Mireille has experience in and is passionate about supporting all child health concerns, including asthma, eczema, infant and childhood feeding and sleep difficulties, constipation, bedwetting, behaviour challenges and neurodevelopmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder and developmental delay.

As a mother of two young children, Mireille appreciates the challenges of navigating parenthood. Her personal experience supplements her passion for empowering families through informed care. Mireille enjoys creative activities in her free time, spending time outdoors with her family and friends, and a good coffee!

Dr Chris McKenzie MBBS, BSc, FRACP

Dr Chris McKenzie is a General Paediatrician with a passion for empowering families through informed care. After completing postgraduate medical training at the University of Melbourne, his paediatric training was based at the Royal Children’s Hospital, with over 12 years of wide-ranging community and hospital-based experience from a broad range of Victorian Hospitals and clinics.

He has held various medical teaching roles during this time, with a strong drive for community involvement through school education visits. Chris cares for infants and children with a range of medical, behavioural and developmental challenges, with a professional interest in supporting adoptive and foster care families. As a father of 2 children from different backgrounds, Chris’ personal experience supplements his informed and practical family-centred approach.

Dr Elizabeth (Liz) Green

Liz is a Consultant General Paediatrician. Liz completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Monash University and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She completed the majority of her paediatric training with the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network, Monash Children’s Hospital and Northern Health.

In addition to working at Complete Children’s Health, Liz holds a part-time staff specialist position at Western Health at Bacchus Marsh & Melton. She also cares for newborns at a private hospital. Liz is interested in a broad range of paediatric problems, particularly nutrition & food allergies, newborn & infant growth and development, fussy eating, eczema, constipation, autism and ADHD.

Liz is the mother of a very busy toddler and enjoys spending time with her young family, baking and nature hikes.

Dr Krishna James

Dr Krish is a consultant General Paediatrician who obtained his medical degree (MBBS, BMedSci) through the University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), having conducted his paediatric training through the Royal Children’s Hospital, Western Hospital Sunshine, and Albury-Wodonga Health.

Dr Krish has experience managing a wide range of paediatric problems and aims to provide holistic care to the child and family. He is equally passionate about helping children with developmental, behavioural, mental health, and learning issues as he is about the more “medical” problems like chronic tummy pains, unsettled babies, atopy (asthma/eczema/allergies) etc.

Dr Krish is the proud father of two boys aged four and nine. He is currently going through a period of character-building by supporting Manchester United and the Bombers, though he remains hopeful that sunny days will return soon enough.

Dr Jonathan (Yoni) Ajzner

Doctor Jonathan (Yoni) Ajzner (MBBS, FRACP) is a General Paediatrician who sees a broad range of medical, behavioural and developmental problems in children from birth to 18 years. Jonathan’s broad interests include asthma, constipation and encopresis, eczema, allergies, growth monitoring, headache, abdominal pain, seizures, tics and anxiety. Jonathan has extensive experience working with children with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delay, learning difficulties and behavioural problems.

Jonathan’s philosophy is that children deserve the best possible care so he works closely with Allied Health Professionals, including lactation consultants, Maternal and Child Health Nurses, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Occupational Therapists, and liaises with preschool and school educators.

Jonathan is a member of the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia (NBPSA). He has a wife and three children.

Dr Sarah Nguyen – (Maternity break returning 2026)

Dr Sarah Nguyen holds a degree as a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). She works as a General Paediatrician and completed her undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne. Her Paediatric training was conducted at the Royal Children’s Hospital as well as other Melbourne hospitals, Launceston and Ballarat.

Dr Nguyen has a special interest in autism spectrum disorder, and developmental and behavioural paediatrics.

Dr Shobha Iyer

Dr Shobha Iyer holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Doctorate of Medicine (MD), and is a  Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). She works as a consultant paediatrician and has been a general paediatrician for over 25 years.

Dr Iyer was originally trained in India, completing a full fellowship in paediatrics and child health.

She has a special interest in babies, preterm follow up, feeding issues, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and behavioural issues, as well as other general paediatric issues.

Her practicing philosophy is to maintain a family and patient centred approach to medicine.

Dr Iyer is fluent in both Hindi and Tamil, and is currently working at Sunshine Hospital.

Dr Michele Campbell

Dr Michele Campbell is a paediatrician with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and holds a PhD.

Dr Campbell was educated at Melbourne University and trained at both the Royal Children’s Hospital and the Monash Medical Centre, focusing on developmental paediatrics as a community health fellow. She also conducted public health research as part of her PhD through the Royal Children’s Hospital for Community Child Health studying childhood growth and obesity.

She has a special interest in general paediatrics, autism diagnosis and management, developmental and behavioural concerns, and learning difficulties.

Dr Campbell has a warm and family-centred approach to care, partnering with other health and allied health professionals to achieve positive and practical outcomes.

She is a busy mother of two and wife of one, and a keen musician. In her spare time she runs a music group aimed at preschool children.
