Andrew Barresi

A former high school teacher and current General Psychologist with a Master’s in Educational and Developmental Psychology from Monash University Andrew provides psychological support and therapy for individuals aged 4 years and above, with a primary focus on children and adolescents.

Andrew also conducts comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments and is experienced in intake, formulation and feedback processes.

Assessments include:
– Cognitive assessments (WPPSI, WISC-V, WAIS-V),
– Educational assessments (WIAT-III),
– Adaptive Functioning (Vineland),
– Behavioural and emotional assessment (BASC-3, BYI),
– ADHD (Conners, DIVA),
– Autism and social communication (SRS), and
– Executive Functioning (BRIEF).


Andrew’s therapeutic approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing on CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness.
Andrew’s combined background in education and psychology provides him with a strong understanding of learning, development and student wellbeing. His experience in school and clinical settings enables him to work effectively with young people who present with academic, behavioural, social, and emotional challenges.
Andrew is committed to creating a supportive, collaborative and engaging therapeutic environment. He works closely with children, adolescents and their families to develop practical, strengths-based strategies.
